About Karen Agyare
I’m a board-certified advanced practice nurse specializing in holistic mental health and medication support. Over the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults in all kinds of settings—from hospital care to community wellness programs and substance use recovery. My style brings together the best of both worlds: warm, supportive talk check-ins and expert medication management. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; my goal is simply to honor your unique story and look at your health as a whole picture. In my practice, I focus heavily on supporting adults who are navigating daily mood changes, anxiety, stress, or trauma. Taking care of your mental well-being can feel daunting, but I firmly believe that healing starts with a real, human connection. I’m here to meet you exactly where you are today—no judgment, just deep respect and collaboration. I'm incredibly proud to be part of the wonderful team here at Dare Therapy, and I love collaborating behind the scenes with our other talented clinicians to make sure you get the best, most well-rounded care possible. Think of our virtual sessions as a safe, grounding space where you can step away from the noise of daily life, catch your breath, and feel completely heard. Because we are 100% virtual across Massachusetts, you get premium, high-quality care that fits right into your schedule from the comfort of your favorite couch. Let's work together to help you feel like yourself again!

What type of clients do you work best with?
I love working with adults of all ages who are dealing with daily anxiety, mood changes, stress, trauma, or substance use recovery. Because my background includes working in hospitals as well as local community programs, I feel right at home supporting people who are going through a really intense or overwhelming season. I’m a great fit if you're looking for a steady, down-to-earth provider who can offer gentle emotional support alongside precise, careful medication management.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
You can expect a relaxed, cozy, and completely supportive virtual space where your story comes first. We’ll spend our initial visit talking through how you’ve been feeling, your medical history, and what you hope to get out of care. I am a big believer in open communication and education—I want to make sure you fully understand how your mind and body are reacting to stress, and what your options are, so you feel completely confident and in the driver’s seat of your own wellness journey.
How do you tailor your approach to meet each client's needs?
No two life paths or brains are exactly alike! I blend brief, supportive talk check-ins with careful medication management, adjusting our pace and focus entirely to what feels right for you. By doing everything 100% online through telehealth, we make sure that taking care of yourself fits seamlessly into your routine without adding extra stress. We keep your path to feeling better completely realistic, safe, and manageable.
