Hi there! I’m Em, and I am thrilled to keep the wheels turning behind the scenes here at Dare Therapy. My journey to mental health practice management is a bit unique. I hold a PhD and an MSc in Biochemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology. For years, my career was dedicated to global health security and infectious disease epidemiology. From 2016 to 2020, I served as a Public Health Country Manager at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where I led critical meningitis outbreak responses across Central and West Africa, including hands-on operations in Chad and Nigeria. Following my time at the CDC, I joined the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Moving from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager, I coordinated complex, rapid-response networks across West Africa to track and combat high-consequence pathogens like Mpox and Lassa fever. Through managing high-stakes, international healthcare initiatives, I developed a profound appreciation for a vital, often underserved side of public health: mental health. I saw firsthand how systemic crises impact human emotional well-being, and I realized that the same meticulous organization, data-driven systems, and operational empathy needed to fight physical outbreaks are desperately needed to build seamless, supportive mental health systems. As Dare Therapy’s Practice Manager, I merge my epidemiological eye for systems with my passion for mental wellness. I oversee our administrative pipelines, digital platform integrations, and client onboarding funnels to ensure our clinical team can focus entirely on what they do best: helping you heal.
