About Marsha Girault-Macias
I am a clinical leader, consultant, and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master of Social Work from the School of Social Work at Simmons University and bring extensive expertise in clinical supervision, program development, and trauma-informed care. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to strengthening clinical practice, expanding access to high-quality, equitable care, and honoring the whole person. A Boston native and daughter of Haitian American parents, my passion for this work is deeply personal. Growing up immersed in a rich Haitian culture and within an immigrant community, I observed how mental health was often minimized and the profound impact this stigma had on individuals and families. These formative experiences shaped my lifelong commitment to changing that narrative, reducing barriers, and bridging gaps in access to culturally responsive care. Throughout my career, I have led the development and implementation of mental health services across a range of settings, including community-based, outpatient, and school environments. My clinical focus centers on blending evidence-based interventions with a deeply collaborative, strengths-based lens. Beyond direct care, I am passionate about developing the clinical skills of practitioners and interns, providing reflective supervision and training that fosters deep confidence, ethical practice, and lasting resilience.

What type of clients do you work best with?
I partner exceptionally well with adults navigating complex life transitions, systemic stress, or legacy trauma, as well as those looking to break through generational stigmas surrounding mental health. Because my background bridges deep community-based clinical work with systems-level leadership, I excel at working with clients from diverse, multicultural, and immigrant backgrounds who want a therapist who provides a deeply validating, culturally responsive sanctuary.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
You can expect a warm, completely safe, and inclusive digital environment where your lived experiences are honored. We will explore what brings you to care, identify your immediate goals, and collaboratively outline a growth plan that respects your unique personal and cultural values. Our first session is entirely focused on establishing mutual trust and ensuring you feel empowered to actively participate in your healing journey.
How do you tailor your approach to meet each client's needs?
No two life journeys or cultural backgrounds are identical. I seamlessly integrate trauma-informed framework structures with evidence-based talk therapy modalities, tailoring our pace and focus to what serves your personal growth best. By utilizing 100% virtual telehealth, I ensure that high-quality, flexible, and sustainable care fits effortlessly into your daily routine, keeping your path to healing entirely manageable and accessible.
